About us

Leicestershire Shared Reading (LSR) aims to:

​

• run shared reading groups which engage older and isolated people with great literature at a deep and personal level, enabling them to form social connections, improving their mental wellbeing, and providing stability and support

• provide a network for ongoing support and development for the trained volunteers who lead the groups

• work in partnership with Leicestershire County Council's library services and with The Reader.

 

Our partnerships are described in Memoranda of Understanding, reviewed and renewed annually.

 

LSR is an unincorporated voluntary association, with a formal constitution, governed by a committee.
